Rodeo Fall Runs

As we start into winding down the 2014 Rodeo season, here is snap shoot of how the year went for the Arizona Wildbunch. John had himself a very good year and has been hot as of late. Qualified for the Turquoise Circuit Finals as the number 4 man and winning the GCPRA rodeo association in both the all around and bareback riding. With also looking to wrap up both in the NMRA as well. John has been a road warrior over the last year hitting everything he can. To the point he couldn’t even remember what he drawn up at some of them, would wait til all the riggins were on then ask the stock contractor which one was his. Brandon started out hot, but with a couple of injuries to his riding hand and then over the fourth after winning Springerville, had a bad dismount and ended up messing up his shoulder pretty bad. Chance has been still battling back from his not so funny run in with the fence at Apache Junction, but has managed to stay in the standings for the GCPRA in the Saddle Bronc riding with the money he had won before the wreck. Shane has been playing gypsy over the last few months between AZ and OR. He is set for the GCPRA Finals, finished out the Cody Night Rodeo finals and Northwest Pro Rodeo association finals all in good shape and winning some along the way. He’s next stop is the PRS in Portland then down to Wilcox and Benson AZ back to back weekends. Kyle has been holding is own fighting bulls for /M, himself and Chavez have been doing a good job of keeping the cowboys healthy all year. They will be in Wilcox and Benson as well. Carter has been picking up everywhere for /M and working on qualifying for the world series roping in Vegas. He also looks to be look to be voted in as top pick up man for the GCPRA Finals this year, again. Brittinie kept pace breakaway roping and herself and Brandon have moved to up to Payson to get out of the desert heat here in the Valley. For myself, I just finished up winning the year end of the Seniors, heading into Vegas for the Senior National Finals Rodeo sitting number 1, this year they did things different and made it a shoot out at the finals so everyone will come in equal, so all the hard work through out the year gets tossed and then start over in a 3 head ride off the world title. Should be interesting that’s for sure. Its been a long year as far as riding goes, seem to can’t keep healthy this year and its been a little bit more trying to get out on the road with the family at home. None the less, we will be going to a doctors appointment today to find out how bad this knee really is and then grit the ol’ teeth and head out to vegas for the Senior Finals. What is cool this year, is all but one of us in the group has been riding wildman riggins and there has been a lot money won on them this year. Will do a tally at the end of the year when the finals are all done. Just to see what the final amount was. It really gets interesting right now everyone starts really pushing at these last few rodeos to get the extra money won and hoping for good draws, some big rodeos left on the books and you can bet we will be at them, either all of us or at least one of us. Until next time, let the good times roll.
