JT and Brian got back from the California run. Sounded like they had a very good time over there. They both placed 2nd in their events at Laton, CA. They were telling me on the way over they were trying to get as far they could on one tank of fuel. The light in the Dodge came on and they were about 30 miles from anywhere on the interstate. They found a gas station on the side of the freeway, pulled in no Diesel, so they jumped back on the highway and started cruisen, finally an exit with Diesel, so they hit the exit, JT said right before the stop sign the truck cut out so they coasted through the stop sign over the curve and the truck died right there at the fuel pump. He said they were lucky cause if a car or truck would of been coming through the intesection and they would of had to stop for the stop sign the truck would of been dead right there. It took them about 30 mins of priming the fuel pump to get going again down the road.
At Lagrange, JT pulled in the last hole for money and Brian lost a stirrup on a bucker to place. They ended up trying to get into the bar there but the it was full and they were not letting anyone in the door, so the hit the road and headed south for home.
Colby mean time was up in Cave Creek, he didn’t fair to well started a really good ride but bucked off twisting his ankle pretty bad. He has been icing it and hoping along on way leg since then.
JT and Brian are heading out to Norco which will be a good rodeo to go to. Its usually great time and the broncs are always good. After that we all will be in Globe, AZ for the rodeo there. Looking forward to it, it will be my first one back since Everrett, WA. I have been nursing a bad knee and coaching little league. Getting a little cabin fever built up sitting at home when I know there are a lot of good shows going on.
I will update you on how they do in Norco and we will see ya all in Globe. Until then happy trails.
