Wanted to update you on last weekends quick run up to Wickenberg for the rodeo. It was a lot of fun and the horses were feeling fresh. Started it off Friday night, went out to dinner and then headed out to meet some friends. The streets were filled with a lot people there to enjoy the weekend. The town does a great job of putting on the rodeo.
Friday night we ended up watching the makings of a good bar fight. It got pretty interesting, for some reason there is always one guy that feels like he can whip the world. We were all there just to have a good time and hang out with each other. It was me and wifes anniversary so we got dance a little and visit with people.
Saturday at the rodeo, JT and Brian were running late. JT made a photo finish into the rodeo, Brian was in no big hurry since he was up in the Bronc riding. JT said he kept telling him the gas peddle is the one on the right push it down and the truck goes faster. I ended up drawing a elminator horse that was a hand ful. It did not go very well, I took home a lot dirt in my pockets. JT had a good draw Blue Yonder of Buster Webbs, you tell the horse were feeling fresh getting out of the cold and into the nice Arizona weather. They matched up for a 76 point ride. Brian drawed Wild Women a good little horse in the bronc riding (I reall wish he would put this horse in the Bareback riding) Brian ended up with a second place finish. JT and Brian have really stretched out to some good leads right now in there events. But the year is still young. Colby headed down to Texas for two weeks. He kept calling to get updates on how things were going. Next stop is Apache Junction, Needles and then off to Belen, NM for the first NMRA rodeo. A good friend of ours who owns Rodeoho.com said she make it to Needles to set up a booth. I know she will be in Tucson in two weeks. If you get a chance you ought to check out her stuff. The Needles weekend is my Birthday so I’m looking forward to it.
Right now trying to get the swelling in my knee to go down and working on getting back in groove.
We will see ya all down the road. Happy Trails.
